Celtic Harp

Debbie’s repertoire ranges from ancient Celtic tunes to Robert Burns to original songs and chants composed to help people connect with God. A harper for more than 30 years, Debbie offers private lessons in addition to teaching at workshops. A co-founder with Kathy DeAngelo of the Harpers’ Escape, Debbie’s specialty is launching adult beginners into the Celtic harp world. She enjoys helping people to find their voice as they gain confidence as harpers, which she will once again do at the Somerset Folk Harp Festival this summer. In October, she’ll be teaching & performing at the Huron Harp Fest.

Debbie’s music is available on Band Camp:

Wisdom Waits

Wisdom Waits, Debbie’s latest work, includes original chants to help you breathe and settle into your Centering Prayer or meditation time. Two versions of each chant are available—one with a vocal lead, one that is just the harp—so you can sing along; sing by yourself; or simply let the harp lead you to a more relaxed state. There’s also a song, Come and See: A Song of Mary Magdalene, which is a paean to the “Apostle to the Apostles.”

A Christmas Carol and Lullay, Lullay

A Christmas Carol is a Christina Rossetti poem that Debbie set to music and (finally!) recorded in 2020. Lullay, Lullay is a medieval English carol that Debbie set to music and released in 2021. Pdf arrangements of the pieces are also available for purchase on Bandcamp.
